The Honor 10 launched in India officially last month and there is no doubt that it is one of the best mid-range smartphones in 2018. It comes with a 5.84-inch FullView display, Kirin 970 chipset, beautiful glass-back design and AI-powered camera while the Honor 10’s 6 GB RAM+128 GB ROM version only cost Rs. 32,999.
If you have already bought the Honor 10 or you are going to buy one, these tips below will certainly make you the master of the Honor 10.
1. Party Mode
Party Mode is not a feature you can see on every smartphone. It allows you to link your Honor 10 with other smartphones, and play the same music at the same time, creating an immersive surround sound effect and the fantastic atmosphere for the party. Maximum numbers of connected phones are 8 and even with 8 phones playing music at the same time via Party Mode, you won’t feel any lag.
The setting of the Party Mode is simple. You will find an app called Party Mode in your Honor 10 and just press “START PARTY”.
First, choose the song you want to play in the left. Then you can press the QR Code on the right side and show it to your friends to join in the Party Mode.
Actually, Honor provides several options for you to adjust the music effect, including every phone’s channel and volume. If you are the one who invites other, you can change them on the right corner's setting.
2. Game Suite
Honor is one of the best mid-range phones you can get for playing games. Besides Kirin 970 and EMUI 8.1 OS, the Honor 10 also prepares a “Game Suite” for gamers. With it, you can improve game performance via game acceleration function which allows the operating system to optimize for gaming.
Plus, the Game Suite prevents you from all kinds of interruptions and mis-operation. When the uninterrupted gaming mode is on, notifications like low power, alarm and incoming calls won’t appear on the screen. Meanwhile, the Game Suite also stops you from mistouching the navigation bar and exit the game accidentally.
The Honor 10 will automatically recognize if your newly download apps is a game and put game apps into the Game Suite. You can also add other apps, even they are not games. Press 3 functions on the bottom of the Game Suite then they will be activated.
3. One-hand/Mini Screen mode
The Honor 10 comes with a 5.84-inch display with the display ratio of 19:9, which can be easily held with a single hand for most people. But for those who have the small hands, Honor has a single hand mode for them. When it is activated, you can swipe up from the bottom left or right corner or swipe left or right on the virtual navigator bar to narrow the screen.
To use the mini screen mode, all you need is go “Setting > Smart assistance > One-handed UI”.
A big difference between the Honor 10 and its competitors who also come with the FullView display is the Honor 10 still keeps the fingerprint sensor on the front. The ultrasonic fingerprint is really fast and secure.
You can register your fingerprint on the Settings > Security & privacy > Fingerprint ID > New fingerprint. Plus, there are settings allowing you to use fingerprint lock in different ways.
5. Knuckle Gesture
Knuckle gesture is one of the most interesting features of the Honor 10. Instead of press the Volume Down and power button at the same time, only with two knocks, you can quickly get a screenshot. If you only want to screenshot a small part of the screen, you can use your knuckle to circle the particular part you want.
Plus, the Honor 10 allows you to draw certain letters to open apps. For example, you can draw a letter c with the knuckle to open the camera. Of course, you can change these shortcuts as you like. You can also split the screen and keep two apps on the screen at the same time via drawing a line with the knuckle.
What do you think? Which is the coolest feature? Or have you figured out something cooler, please share with us!
